Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgery
The Ear, Nose and Throat/Otorhinolaryngology team at Poudre Valley Health System cares for both adults and children and specializes in disorders and diseases of the ear, nose and throat. This includes treatments for conditions of the larynx, head and neck, respiratory tract, trachea, and endocrine glands.
The PVHS ENT team also have expertise in treating hearing disorders due to otosclerosis, congenital deafness, chronic middle ear disease, Meniere's disease, sinus disease, thyroid disease, tumors, voice and language disorders, swallowing and reflux disorders, snoring disorders and sleep disorders.

Tonsillectomy: removal of the tonsils to prevent infection.
Myringotomy: surgery for chronic ear infections, placement of ear tubes.
Laryngoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Esophagoscopy: use of a scope to examine the larynx, trachea, or esophagus.
Endoscopic sinus surgery using a guided image system.
Thyroidectomy: removal of the thyroid gland.
Septoplasty: treatment of nasal septum deformity or injury.
Microscopic middle ear surgeries.
Poudre Valley Hospital has a specially equipped ENT surgical suite. Equipment such as the Landmarx Stereotatic Imaging Nerve Integrity Monitor is used during cochlear implant surgery, as well as mastoidectomy and parotidectomy surgeries to provide a three-dimensional map of the patient's surgical site.
