We take a team approach to your care, offering leading treatments and innovative technologies to treat your cancer.
We also know that while cancer is a disease of the body, it affects every area of your life. We offer you many helpful options in our support services resources that can help during cancer.
To help your body, mind and spirit during your cancer journey, we provide the following at no cost to you:
Patient Navigation: nurse experts in cancer services provide free, individualized guidance for people with cancer and their loved ones.
Oncology Social Work: our oncology social workers provide counseling and other services which can reduce stress for patients and their loved ones through all phases of the cancer journey.
Sharing the Cancer Journey: the area's longest-running cancer information and support group that helps patients and their loved ones affected by cancer with the many aspects of life during cancer treatment and beyond.
Cancer Massage: we offer a team of three, specially-trained and certified massage therapists who provide free massage to cancer patients at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Clinical Trials: 13 clinical research nurses and associates provide information on open trials and help determine whether a clinical trial is right for you, if you are interested. A clinical research professional works with each trial participant every step of the way.
Cancer Rehabilitation: you can gain strength and confidence in your body during and after cancer treatment. Cancer rehabilitation helps create a safe, customized exercise plan for you that can help you have more energy and improved outlook during treatment and beyond.
Nutrition: Through our Patient Navigator office, we help connect interested patients to free, nutrition consultation and education. Patients do not have to be working with a Patient Navigator in order to use this service. Nutrition education is offered through a partnership with Colorado State University's Nutrition Services.
Pet Therapy and Family Pet Visits: visits by trained therapy pets help inpatients relieve stress and experience joy. Family pets can visit or even stay overnight, too (when conditions allow).
