There are many types of pumps: hospital-grade breast pumps, personal use pumps, small electric and battery operated pumps and manually operated pumps.
If you are not pumping often, a hand-operated or battery/ electric hand-held pump works well. More frequent pumping requires an electric double pump where both breasts are pumped at the same time. The most suitable pump for a mother who wishes to maintain her milk supply by pumping at work is either a rental hospital-grade pump or a personal-use double-electric breast pump.
We recommend purchasing the best pump you can afford or renting a hospital-grade pump. You can purchase your own pump online or through retail stores in northern Colorado including Twig, located within Twenty Three Trees Medical and Wellness Spa.
Twig, owned and operated by University of Colorado Health, is your source for high-quality, reliable products and supplies for you and your baby. Twig is located in Westbridge Medical Suites across the bridge from PVH at 1107 S. Lemay Avenue, Suite 160, Fort Collins, CO and will deliver breast pumps and lactation supplies to MCR.
You can also rent a hospital-grade pump from a variety of locations in northern Colorado.
