The first of its kind in northern Colorado, the heart valve clinic of Heart Center of the Rockies is a multispecialty, multidisciplinary clinic designed to assess, diagnose and treat patients with complex valve disease.
Here, cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons work side-by-side in one clinic location, sharing information as they collaborate to determine the best course of care for patients with valvular disease. Treatment for complex cases also includes a review by a team of valve disease experts, the Valve Board, who examine treatment plans to ensure quality care.
Our providers host regularly-scheduled, weekly appointments that include pertinent cardiac specialists so that patients don't have to endure multiple visits to different specialists.
Our program also features a clinically-trained and dedicated coordinator, Deanne Olson, who guides patients through their course of care, ensuring continuity, clear communications and comprehensive follow-up. She is also responsible for the valve clinic patient registry, which is designed to track patient data to assess prevalence, trends and outcomes.
At our state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient cardiac facilities, Heart Center of the Rockies offers innovated advancements in catheter- and surgical-based valve interventions. Our cardiac services are complemented by nationally accredited imaging services that include cardiac MRI, echocardiography, nuclear imaging and cardiac CT.
