Dr. Hans C. Coester, FACS
Dr. Hans Coester brought his neurosurgical skills to Poudre Valley Medical Group Brain and Spine Surgery in January, 2011 as the founding physician. With over 20 years of experience serving the neurosurgical needs of patients, he uses a range of academic and private practice consultants from around the country to offer patients the most current and practical approach to brain and spine problems.
Dr. Coester is a graduate of the University of Iowa Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Coester is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
Dr. Lars Widdel
Dr. Lars Widdel attended medical school in Santiago, Chile and completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Colorado where he received an award for the most outstanding neurosurgery resident. His neurosurgical interests include neuro-oncology (brain, spine and peripheral nerve tumors), complex spine surgery and neuro-trauma. Dr. Widdel is fluent in English, German and Spanish.
