Everything Is better on a mini-bagel
Whole-wheat bagels are just dandy as a healthy basis for a solid sandwich. Bagels will stand up to being banged around in a paper sack as your child shoves his or her lunch into a backpack or locker.
Use one bagel--or a few mini-bagels. Two min-bagels will supply six grams of fiber to the lunch.
Put on some tuna or a slice of lean turkey or roast beef. Cover with la slice of lower fat cheese, and slices of a fresh tomato and onion. Romaine lettuce or sprouts will add some of the veggie benefits.
For a drink, pour some low-fat milk into a reusable container. A fruit will taste good, giving the lunch a good ending.
