Dr. David J. Columbus has joined Poudre Valley Medical Group and will begin treating patients on Monday at Poudre Valley Medical Group Pain Medicine in Loveland.

Columbus is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine and has been treating patients with chronic and acute pain for more than 20 years.

He received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo., and completed his residency in anesthesiology and pain medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. 

"I am excited to be part of Poudre Valley Medical Group Pain Medicine, where our primary goal is to improve quality of life for every person we serve," said Columbus. "Our mission is to identify the source of a person's physical pain and work to eliminate or reduce it. We do this by combining advanced medical treatments with comprehensive medication management, compassion and understanding."  

Poudre Valley Medical Group Pain Medicine is located at Medical Center of the Rockies' North Medical Office Building at 2500 Rocky Mountain Ave. in Loveland.
